Morning all! Today is International Moon Day. Now I am not a fan of Muskrat and his exorbitant spend and ego-stroking rockets, but today, in 1969, man stepped on the moon for the 1st time. My dad rented our first little 12" B&W TV and woke us up at 2 am so we could watch it live. For a 10 yr old, it was a truly awesome sight.
I sobbed all the way through it. We were speechless.
@LnzyHou I kept going outside to look at the moon lol.
You & my 2 yr old
We shared the same B&W portal to the event, at the same age. Mine was at our week summer camp on Saratoga Lake. 😉
Still remember how excruciatingly slow everything happened. 😂
@slapout And the fuzzy images! But we thought they were wonderful!
@homebird Absolutely stunning! 😄
