Morning all! Today is International Moon Day. Now I am not a fan of Muskrat and his exorbitant spend and ego-stroking rockets, but today, in 1969, man stepped on the moon for the 1st time. My dad rented our first little 12" B&W TV and woke us up at 2 am so we could watch it live. For a 10 yr old, it was a truly awesome sight.
I sobbed all the way through it. We were speechless.

@homebird @LnzyHou I apparently saw the whole adventure, from launch to landing...not quite 1 year old, but Mom assures me whenever the Rocket Men were on TV, I was glued to the screen
