is there much left behind? i used to live beside a cow corn farm, on it actually, an old house rented
the waste provided food for mice and rats, which made the snowy owl population in winter very healthy indeed.
i'd see them in early morning as i walked to the ferry for classes in town.
yes, hence the biblical gleaners even when harvesting by hand.
now we have rodent gleaners, although i suspect they did then as well.
