@poemblaze I cannot be 69, but reality assures me otherwise.
@dauphin87
Age is just a number.
My mantra. π
@poemblaze
@Maude @dauphin87 My just a number keeps getting higher.
@poemblaze
pffft
But how active are you?
How do you feel?
Yep, gravity is a bitch & there are parts that wake up sooner than others... but they all still move.
@dauphin87
@Maude @dauphin87 I am less active than I should be, but George helps me get moving.
@poemblaze
Good!
During pandemic, my yard guy got sick, so I bought a new EGO lawnmover (LOVE IT) and started doing it myself. It's just walking and pushing.
I've always done my own tree trimming (chainsaw) and tilling (gardening).... so yep, keep those parts moving.
@dauphin87
just checked it out, looks greatππΌ
@Maude
that's great. i hate having to replace the string on ones i've used before.
@holon42
OMG... I know!
I would spend 30 minutes just trying to get the string in and working.
The WORX has an automatic feed button on the handle.
I'm telling you... it's a jewel.
@Maude definitely on my list, then.ππΌ
@holon42
Let me know after you've tried them.
I hate making recommendations, but can only share my experiences.
i know what you mean about recommendations. i just say what i've experienced. i can't offer guarantees π
i'm just thinking about it at this point because i have lawn care people, but having a weed eater for my garden area, which they don't tend, would be nice for dealing with invasives.
@holon42 π
@holon42
It has the string... and super easy to replace. Just feed end thru hole and pop in cartridge. 1, 2, 3 done
I bought the smaller one. It works as well as my larger weedeater and sooooo light to carry around.
I can't cut larger limbs, but using it regularly keeps those buggers outta the way.
