At age 12, Mr. Tan Man is slowing down a bit, but still maintaining his mile+ #sniffari walk every morning. He has taught me a lot about stopping to smell the flowers, the trees, the pine needles, the leaves, the soil, and the stones. #DogsOfCoSo
@cassandra17lina in spring, every single blade of grass, etc is sniffable to them🥰
@cassandra17lina indeed, a dog smell sensitivity would likely be overpowering for us. but how can they roll in garbage then?🤔
more mystery.
They are so exasperatingly good at that kind of natural perfume. Gotta love em.
@cassandra17lina oh, good grief, yes👍🏼. another favourite is getting skunked.
@holon42 This gorgeous girl (Golden Retriever - Irish Setter mix) rolled in a bird carcass at a stop early into an eight hour drive home. The stench was overwhelming. She was thrilled with her achievement though. Thankfully I found a dog groomer in a small town and offered to pay whatever it took to rectify this. They said they were closing shortly and couldn’t dry her but they bathed her in something with bitter Apple shampoo and even sprayed the inside of the car. Gave them ALL my money.
