Apparently I am a Zionist. Yep. Me. Despite not being Jewish, or Muslim, or even Christian. (Sorry Grandma.) Israel has the right to exist, and defend itself, and I'm very aware there are people who would kill me for saying this, just like they killed people on October 7, and countless other dates, until there are no Jewish people safe anywhere, including the Middle East, and until Israel is gone. Screw em. That's genocide.
@janallmac for me, Zionism has always had the same original meaning: Jews have been kicked out of, denigrated, and/or destroyed in every place in the world over the millennia. Much longer than any other group of people. Antisemitism is endemic to the human race. Therefore, the Jews as a people, culture, ethnicity, and religion require a safe, strong, defensible homeland to prevent another genocide which would undoubtedly be successful in its absence. Israel was the only logical location.
