Sometimes in all the chaos it's nice to remember the calmer moments.
Ravenshead Pond - Alaska
I spent 5 weeks house/dog sitting here a few summers ago. In this shot I'm sitting on the deck of the house I was watching enjoying the view.
American Giant Millipede - Michigan
These two were hiking the same trail I was. They were around 4 inches long.
I've taught a few photography classes and that is the first thing I tell them. Also, for me, photography is art and art is subjective. There is so many different techniques you should work on those that bring you the most pleasure. Take the picture for yourself first and if others enjoy them that is icing on the cake.
Kayaking with the neighbors.
Common Loon - Michigan
I guess for me it would be this song.

To The Wild Country - John Denver
This song was on repeat the last time I drove to Alaska.
And these lyrics fit me perfectly.
To the mountains, I can rest there
To the rivers, I will be strong
To the forest, I'll find peace there
To the wild country, where I belong
