Dude, please. My picture and toot have nothing to do with politics.

The reason I wear a mask.
This is of my daughter taken shortly after she was born. She was born 3 months premature and weighed just 2 pounds. The words are mine from that day. Her mother lived with juvenile diabetes and the pregnancy was very hard on her physically. Three months after our daughter was born my wife caught the flu. She didn't survive that illness. My daughter is now teaching in a remote area of Alaska even though she has respiratory issues and cerebral palsy. Love your family!
Had my 15th species of bird visit my window feeder today....but now I'm down one regular visitor now!

@Justmewhoever Thank you! You too
@Justmewhoever That is wonderful for you and your family. It helps clarify your families past and will maybe make things clearer in the future. When I told my family I was doing a test I knew of some of my Irish ancestry and one English name. My mom told me there might be more English. Thru the test I am linked to John Robinson, the Father of the Pilgrims. Not what I expected. It also showed a relatively small world area my family is from. That is allowing me an easier time researching.
I grew up listening to family stories. Names of ancestors and brief histories about them. Over the years I have played around with my family tree. This past June my daughter gifted me with a subscription to Ancestry.com, to help pass quarantine time. She also gifted me with their DNA test. I started researching more with the access from Ancestry and it was going very well. When my DNA came back in late August the flood gates opened. WOW, its been incredible!
@silenthill I was just a kid when we waved at the crew as she went through the locks. I often wonder if some of those people I waved at went down with her on that night years later.
@Mauve_matelot Stay safe! These are very trying times for sure! I wish more people took things serious in my area. Too many are still ignoring the warnings.

@Mauve_matelot @Mauve_matelot Thank you for asking. I just got off the phone with her. They are in the middle of a blizzard and her furnace quit working. It was out for about 12 hours but it is working again. The Covid cases are running very high in her area right now so she is staying isolated. Most of the area towns are in lockdowns. One nearby village has 25% of the population that's texted positive. They have medevac'd a number of people 400 miles away to Anchorage.
@Anemone Beautiful shots and location!
@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine Thank you! My daughter gifted me the Lensball and I have been playing with it on the trail. It's giving me some ideas to try!
@IanWolfe Thank you!
