I had an interesting day. I stopped in at the local senior center to renew my membership. When the pandemic hit last year I stopped going but in 10 days I get my second vaccine. While I was renewing the center's manager asked me to step into his office. He offered me the chance to teach a photography class there. Seems it was being discussed last fall. The man who recommended me was the local town photographer. He was a friend of mine. He passed away from Covid last December. I said yes.

@gettinaway That is wonderful news. Congratulations and how lovely to be a part of your friend's legacy.

@stueytheround I was so honored to be asked to be a part of it. My friend was a big part of the community and his passing hit everyone hard.

@gettinaway

I hope you will do it. So good to give back out of the bounty of talents we receive. I teach others my techniques all the time

@AndersonArtwork Thank you Scott! I start next month (July). We are starting out meeting once a month but if their is enough interest they are set up to meet once a week.

@Mauve_matelot I'm doing well Thank you! I trust you are doing well also! Thanks for asking about my classes. They are going very well so far. People are very interested. I have a website for my pictures and I've set aside a section on there for the group to follow.. I am adding the things we've discussed for reference and expanding on things for them to use. I am excited for the direction it is going.

Life is rather hectic at present @gettinaway, I keep looking at my to do list and for every task completed, 2 new things join the list. I know things will change, just not sure when it will happen.

@Mauve_matelot I'm glad you are well and I hope life slows down a bit for you. I try to keep my to do list short. If it gets too long I grab my camera and go for a walk. The list is still there but I feel better!

@gettinaway 🌹❤️What a way to honor him!

Congratulations on💉

So very sorry for your loss💔

I grieve with you.😢

@Gramdma2011 The community set a day aside in September in his memory. There is also a gallery at the senior center of his pictures. For me it has been an honor to lead the photography group and know I had is blessing right from the beginning.
