It should not be so hard to find basic food, without added sugar 😕
@gemswinc produce, dried goods like beans, fresh meats, herbs and spices.
It's not hard. You just have to do a little work.
@Lulz4l1f3 @gemswinc The hard part is finding those items in stock at a comparable price to the ultra-processed/sugar-stuffed stuff, especially for those on a fixed income.
@Synical That too, is true @Lulz4l1f3
@Lulz4l1f3 Oh I know, just had to shop in a normal store for PB.
@Lulz4l1f3 I'm organic and whole food all the way. Drive miles to shop at a Wild By Nature etc. Sometimes I have to be in a regular store
@gemswinc
But here in the United States. . . it is literally added to everything.
@CinnamonGirlE Yes
- or to find supplements that don't have B6 added.
@gemswinc and oil.
@Gardenthyme Yup, trying to buy PB in a regular store. Found one w/out sugar, not w/o palm oil. Peanuts/salt. PB!
@gemswinc I recommend Teddies 100% peanut butter 🙂
@gemswinc Or gums. Additives. Palm oil. So many ingredients. I read every label. So disheartening.
Or chemical-sweetener-free. Some things I can make at home.
