Can't speak for other rural areas, but in my neck o' The Ozarks, there is no 24/7 news outlet. And if the radio towers with the farthest reach go out during an event, all bets are off. Scary af when there are tornadoes on the ground, believe it.

Last year was the 1st Thanksgiving since 2020 that my trio had an actual oven. We enjoyed being able to make a proper feast. The kids had forgotten how to bake skin-on sweet potatoes, specifically piercing vents. When asked how we'd know they were done, I told them the sweet potatoes would start to whistle. The kids thought I'd lost my mind until it happened. The surprised looks on their faces was priceless! 😂

It's been a minute since my last Spotify binge. Seems I've picked up a beta AI DJ. "Xavier" decided to break me in with some faves from my library. First track: Trombone Shorty's "Hurricane." Okay then. I'll see how this goes.
