Okay, just a reminder about how things work
For the next two years, Democrats can’t really do much. So when you see really bad shit happening, that’s NOT because Democrats are being lazy, it’s because people voted for Republicans (if you voted for Republicans, it’s your fault as well.)
I know this is a surprise to many—Republicans now control what bills end up on the calendar, which die in committee, etc.
The BEST WEAPON WE HAVE is:
THE FILIBUSTER.
This is why we didn’t get rid of it.
But it also means Trump can get a lot done despite opposition.
Republicans can get a lot of really bad shit.
If you voted Republican or didn’t vote, this is on you. If you didn’t vote Harris, this is on you.
I don’t have to be fair—I am not beholden to anyone but Partner.
Let’s be real: if Medicare dies, so will I. You won’t have to listen to me make you sad. Killing oppo voices is what authoritarian governments do.
The rich won’t save you. They’ll be fine. Just like COVID.
The reason I’m pointing things out now is that there was a LOT OF “why don’t Democrats do something”—it’s because when you are a minority, there is little you can do.
And now, because Republicans hold both houses of Congress AND the Presidency, Trump can enact a LOT of nasty shit laws.
And there is little we can do.

No. He learned a lot since then. He didn’t understand that high and mid-level prevented a lot of his bullshit.
He is going to fire them.
Talking to some folks today, and they were trying to "normalize" the coming shit storm. Talking about this or that law, or this and that article of the constitution.
Just stop all that.
There ain't any rules, norms, laws, or articles, that will stop the Rump. None. Maybe a few will slow him down. But realistically any serious move against his policies, will endanger civil war.

Yes there are more of us than of them. But not as many that will stand up.
Not civil war. Not yet, anyway.
Plenty of authoritarian governments without armed rebellion. Especially when you have the oppressed working for you. That’ll be the first step. Narc on your neighbor and get rewarded. We saw that happen with abortion here in Texas.
A lot of things will have to happen before civil war. We’re not even close ATM.
