Or, just spitballing, when you went to the RNC and kowtowed to Republicans but said you were not kowtowing to Republicans people could tell you were kowtowing to Republicans.
The Union felt like you betrayed them.

@feloneouscat Teamster leadership has always been infamous for corruption. Which provided the ammunition for GOP to demonize all unions and get public support for union busting laws from the very people lifted into the middle class by unions.
