“The simplified strategy of calling the GOP weird coupled with LBJ-level ‘make him deny it’ rumors about Vance (R-OH) fornicating with furniture, has been described as ‘feisty’ and ‘effective’ by Democratic political strategists who spoke with Vanity Fair.”

As I stated last night (this morning?) they are killing their campaign by focusing on the wrong things. They are scared that the American people will believe they are weird.

This is a message YOU CAN’T WIN.

What Trump and campaign should have done is ignore it or stated policies that make them LESS weird. But they can’t and devolve into “I’m not weird, they’re weird!”

This is hardly an effective strategy and Americans know that. But their campaign, which largely subsists on name calling, is not the professional campaign MSM said it was just four weeks ago.

It is held together with spit and gum. And it is falling apart because it has no real…

… message.

The Trump campaign “crafted” its message based on running against Biden.

Now it is Harris and they are falling apart. Trump is making up lies. Fiction that falls apart under idle scrutiny. Vance is in a similar position.

The internet makes much of the fact-checking easy. Swift boating only works when the information is limited. Today is NOT 2004.

Their campaign is working with outdated tech, old ideas and bad history.

They cannot win just saying UNH-UNH!

@feloneouscat also just too many inexplicable statements and pictures of the campaign and supporters. What other word would I use? Demented? Damaged?
I think they know they have to explain it, but you're right, nothing will work. They leaned into it for too long.

@feloneouscat the correct approach to pompous authoritarians is always to ridicule them.
The morality tale of The Emperor Has No Clothes is the instruction manual.
