Pelosi remains the smartest person in politics in my lifetime.
Even when it upsets me.
Pelosi re Biden: “We did not have a campaign that was on the path to victory. Members knew that in their districts”
She was right. Compared to Harris, Biden’s campaign was weak. I was angered that there were calls for Biden to step down. I was showing faith to a person, not to the country.
I was blind.
Being a Democrat is about a view of a future. Pelosi slapped me in the face with that.

When Biden stepped down I posted an ignorant message: “We are fucked”
It is one of the most ignorant posts and showed a stupid side of me: person over party over country.
Pelosi is right.
We were on the path to a loss.
Harris is our best ticket to a win.
@feloneouscat I'm fairly certain one of my daughter's wasn't going to vote at all. When Biden stepped aside, she was thrilled. She told me just the other day: For the first time since I started voting, (she's 37 yrs old), I'm excited. She truly likes Harris/Walz.
Just because you were wrong doesn't mean you were being stupid.
I think that line is crossed when folks start blocking others for having different options, but we're still cool, so don't beat yourself up too much.

@feloneouscat I hear you and will join you on the bench. Normally I do trust Joe's instincts and especially Nancy's wisdom. I didn't see them putting the thing together because honestly, it wasn't ours to see -- and trust is freakin' hard in 2024, considering how garbage the other side and the press and pundits have been. But now we know more, and we get it, and we admit it and move on into a better understanding. It's all good.
