#politics In no way shape or form do I care about trying to read the tea leaves to figure out what “voters” will want in a VP. MAGA voters will find something to hate about everyone; independent voters prioritize wildly different things; democrats will vote Democrat. Pick the best person for the job. Period. Yes, electability is part of the equation, but only part. One thing Trump definitely ushered in: a belief that merit and competence no longer count. I refuse to buy into that.

I know, I know, but this is POLITICAL reality, not what is ideal.
Political reality needs to comfort the more racist, sexist part of the Democratic Party.
And, yes, there are racist, sexist and ageists in the Democratic Party.
