“In Watergate, President Ford proactively pardoned Nixon even before he was charged citing concerns that the nation would be too ‘polarized.’”
And Americans were pissed. Ford spent time ACTIVELY OBSTRUCTING investigations into Nixon. He wasn’t an unbiased party who did it for the “good of the country” — he did it because he was partisan.
Let’s stop with the rewrite of history.

I would call that a good example of a true democracy and the rule of law.
