@mcfate you're right it verifies the existence not the contents. I agree that most of the rest is probably void of life. But, how does billions of crabs in the Bearing Straits disappear without a trace? That contorts me.
Something doesn't add up to me.
It's been said that only 90% of the oceans have been charted or explored.
So how can scientist say we are running out of this or that when they don't know what's this or that in 90% of the rest?

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has announced that she will retire from the U.S. Senate on the expiration of her current term in 2025. At that point, she will have served in the Senate for 33 years, having been first elected in a special election in 1992.
Prior to that, Feinstein was Mayor of San Francisco, having risen to that office after the assassination in 1978 of Mayor George Moscone in the same killing that took the life of Supervisor Harvey Milk.
