https://anysoftkeyboard.github.io/
here's more open source alternatives
/nosanitize
https://alternativeto.net/software/gboard/?license=opensource
another one to consider
OpenBoard is a 100% foss keyboard based on AOSP, with no dependency on Google binaries, that respects your privacy.
Features:
Spell correction
Themes
Emojis

text correction
This app is opensource,
Also in the pipeline for generative AI in Gboard is a new feature that creates stickers using AI, as well as a new “tone” feature that can help you reword a message with a different tone, such as formal and informal.
right now it's opt-in but i'd hazard a guess it'll become a feature with no opt-in/out option
after playing around with a few Open Source Keyboards on Android, because GBoard is injecting AI into it which is already in the beta version of the app, i'd defo suggest OpenBoard
honestly it's not far off the same as GBoard minus a few features
OpenBoard has a clipboard feature also which allows for pinning by long pressing the entry
doesn't use any background data whatsoever or needs any permissions unlike GBoard
@ecksmc The AI is ravenous. All hail and feed the AI
AnySoftKeyboard might not be compatible with some devices
i'm trying Simple Keyboard
Features:
Small size (<1MB)
Adjustable keyboard height for more screen space
Number row
Navigation keys
Custom theme colors
Minimal permissions (only Vibrate)
Ads-free
Feature it doesn't have and probably will never have:
Emojis
GIFs
Spell checker
Swipe typing
