My English mother was complaining to my father once that she had looked through every A in the Swedish dictionary but couldn't find a single A with dots over. My father told her tat it was because they were letters of their own and she would find all word's begining with Å, Ä, and Ö. At the end of the alphabet

Today, my entire department is going to a holiday lunch. With a few exceptions:

Today is also the annual day my supervisor calls out "sick" and doesn't attend the holiday lunch.

Today is also the day in which another co-worker says she has a cold on the morning of said holiday lunch. Every year.

Today is also the day that I am, unexpectedly, in charge 😳 because I refused to go to these things the minute they are being planned.
