@duglop My brother and i had ones similar to that (mine was taller and more "boxy" looking, and the alarm function never worked for me). And my dad had one with a phone built in (even had the "wood" grain on the receiver part). My mothers' wasn't with a woodgrain look, but it had a cassette player built in, and she still uses it.

@duglop That is the clock I replaced the digital clock that displayed the time by flipping thin little plastic cards.
Before that, I had one of the traditional mechanical alarm clocks like from the cartoons, with the two little bells on top.
I used that clock radio for 20 years, until I accidentally left it too close to my bed and apparently punched it to death in my sleep rather than waking up one morning. I was a bit sad.
