nor should they be. if we are going to be truthful and honor our history as a nation of immigrants, immigrants must rightly believe that they can come here and they can stay as long as they like. there's no reason to do otherwise.

I cannot stress strongly enough that the USCIS website *still* lists the first step of applying for asylum as "arrive in the US," and did not restrict how one did so until a couple of years ago: uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugee

glad to know there's still some people with a fucking soul in the immigration debate

this should be an absolute no-brainer. social media companies are not the government. of course they have the right to determine what content they want to host on their platform. hell, you don't even have absolute free speech *from the government,* if you're that determined to say racist, hateful, violent shit then maybe rethink your life choices.

this is such a disingenuous take. Texas is not arguing to regulate tech companies. Texas is actually arguing to *prohibit* tech companies from regulating themselves and their content. and, as always, Texas is 100% wrong by every possible metric.

this is such an egregious abuse of power. they won't charge the J6 crew or the MAGAbomber or the countless angry white male mass shooters with domestic terrorism but HOW DARE YOU PROTEST COP CITY?!

as if Trump is better?! like, they know the only alternative is Trump, right? and that Trump has explicitly said he would give Israel carte blanche to wipe Gaza off the map?

no he hasn't, he's just made you nostalgic. if anything, Stewart's return has been a mixed bag of needs-to-be-said ("election day is important but so is the day before and the day after and every day of the rest of your lives") and tired both-sides-ism played for laughs ("sorry for saying what I saw with my eyes").

if anything, that probably convinced them to vote for it even harder

conservatives revealing what they really think of Christians and children's lives LMAO

why would anyone continue to consider this person a "family friend," much less entrust then with their child's safety?!

Follow

maybe by getting rid of a GOP-dominated legislature that consistently and severely disenfranchises voters?

@dietotaku Except you need the voters to vote in order to do that.

@dietotaku Voters have to vote and not vote for the wrong people. Voter suppression is not the only problem.
