I cannot stress strongly enough that the USCIS website *still* lists the first step of applying for asylum as "arrive in the US," and did not restrict how one did so until a couple of years ago: https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-and-asylum/asylum/the-affirmative-asylum-process
this should be an absolute no-brainer. social media companies are not the government. of course they have the right to determine what content they want to host on their platform. hell, you don't even have absolute free speech *from the government,* if you're that determined to say racist, hateful, violent shit then maybe rethink your life choices.
@dietotaku Except you need the voters to vote in order to do that.
@dietotaku Voters have to vote and not vote for the wrong people. Voter suppression is not the only problem.
@dietotaku They probably didn't know.
@Heavymetalmotherindisguise all the more reason to vet the people you let into your life and especially your children's lives 😱
@dietotaku They can’t expect social media to monitor and control the speech that promotes violence without allowing them to ban those who continue to break those rules. I remember when Rump finally got kicked to the curb on Tweeker. It was way past time for it to happen, it should have happened when he was pumping his worshippers into a frenzy that resulted in 1/6. Shoot, they’ve dumped accounts for a lot less.
@cjcrew the whole reason they're bringing this suit is that they don't want the speech that promotes violence removed because they know it's all coming from their own people. and we all know if this does go through & lefties start posting politically-motivated death threats they're still going to demand metashitter takes it down & bans the lefties. because double standards are the only standards they have.
@dietotaku Yeah I’m sure you’re all right, that’s been the basic MO and they usually don’t change their MO.
more conservative "small government" ideology at work
