1) this is insane. IVF necessarily creates dozens of frozen embryos that are eventually destroyed when there is no more need to implant them. this will shut down the entire process of IVF.
2) can't wait for someone to use this ruling to file for child support/child tax credits as soon as they get a positive test, only to be told "no we didn't mean it like that, this only applies to penal opportunities not financial benefits" 🙃
Also, what if the people saving them die? Will the government take over the expenses of keeping them frozen? Put them up for adoption? Will the embryos inherit their bio parents' wealth?
