An aunt on my mother’s side resides in a care facility. She’s one of two left in the family. I had not been able to see her the last six months and yesterday, on a spur of the moment, I drove the hour away to do so. Even with dementia, she seemed to recognize me. We had such a wonderful visit.

I received a text from my cousin a bit ago that she had a stroke and is also now on Hospice care.

It definitely was meant to be for me to have visited her. 💜

@CherNohio The day before my mother died, we went up on Skyline Drive to watch the scenery as my father drove us through the forest amongst the mountain overlooks.

It was a lovely day.

Sometimes these things are meant to be.
