Did I ever tell you guys my best "You might be a redneck" joke?

You might be a redneck if you know which brands of beer your dogs prefer.

When AI can effectively play Civilization, then tell me it's going to replace humans.

It's almost laughable. When was growing up I was so thirsty for knowledge, and now I can access so much pure information.

However, when I try to deep dive into many things I'm stymied by a limit on historical data.

I was searching for videos of the 1920's racing boat "Rainbow IV". The original is lost to time, but a replica exists. Except there are only a few short clips of her, and nothing very satisfying.

So I just have to laugh. All the information in the world - except what I want. 😭

. . . a tech jabs a slippery probe painfully into his ribs, and a nurse repeatedly injects - something - into him is Thursday afternoon for them.

To me it seemed nuts, but that's just me, I guess.

I had a Cardiovascular Ultrasound the other day, and the entire event was pretty surreal. At one point I commented "If we really are living in a simulation, I fail to understand the reasoning for this entire procedure."

Both the tech and the nurse were nonplussed, as if they'd never considered that we are living in a simulation.

Isn't that a common thought for people?

Maybe it's because a huge shirtless guy lying down with a syringe hanging out of his arm while. . .

I forgot I'd snapped a quick shot of sunset over Campbell lake, Fidalgo island on Saturday. It's nice:

Yikes. Always tough when you have to look up a definition. Is that cheating?

Biden should announce that the "supreme" court will be increased by 3 new justices. He'll pick one now, and the next president can add two more.

Again, note that an even number of justices is desirable. A tie result would be the same as not hearing the case, so ties would be abhorrent to the court, thus avoided by increased debate and subtle distinctions in opinions.
