My neighbors are having family break-up issues, and are squabbling. I'm giving them a derelict car, and both sides want it: one side doesn't really need it, but doesn't want the other side to have it.
The other side really needs it, as a home (!). Both have relatively equal claims to it.
Today the Sheriff got involved, and I offered to give the car to anyone who wanted it: I just want it gone.
Maybe I'll give half of it to each of them. Suggestions?

Modern autos often don't make enough CO at idle to cause suffocation in a closed space. The engine dies before the human.
I like the concept, though.

Part of me votes give it to the one who need it-does that person likely to have any of the children to take care of (should there be any)?
That said barring the above or some sort of violence going on in which case I still tend to vote for the above it’s probably better to step back from both and sell your car elsewhere-give it to an organization.
@danalan pipe the exhaust into the cabin and give it to the assholes?
