Great news....
The security camera system had an update, no one told me. Cameras time stamps all updated, at 0200. I was about to start manual updating, and off load the extra hour of recording, so not to confuse the system.... when bam they all changed.
Typically the service IT guys did not tell anyone they did this.....
But it sure makes my shift easier.

So this Biden bus thing in Texas.....
Where were the Secret Service ?
On the bus?
Not in following SUV's ?
I think threating a candidate is a federal offense, and the Secret Service take this very seriously.

Of course the SS are known to be very tight lipped about their investigations.

We had about 30 kids show up. Turns out that the "purple pumpkin" thing was a big hit ! There is some local, (maybe facebook page), that listed all the people doing it.

These cameras are LAN only, for reasons. No outside connections.
The whole system is run on proprietary hardware, and locked down well.

But damn it the underlying system is just Linux.
One fucking line of code. Not even a large line of code.
This could have been soooo. easy.

But no... the support people say that change would entail a site visit. At $500.00 an hour.

The main reason I hate the time change....I am at work, and believe it or not, the 52 cameras that I keep an eye on, DO NOT set the time back....
I have to go in and change each one manually....

I wrote a script to do this ..but the cameras system software won’t let me run it.

Grrrrrr. Software by the lowest bidder.

Hope this is the last god damn time.

Just got news from the home front:

One of my neighbors, the mom of the children. Who goes to work 5 days a week. Had a mild fever, and light cough on Wednesday. So stayed home and isolated, the kids stayed at both my house and others.

She just got the test results (PCR test), and is Negative for covid. Turns out she has a mild sinus infection.

This is why we keep strict protocols. This is not even half over. Tighten up your vigilance.

(good turn around on test, free on her insurance.)
