The eastern edge of fire, is still about 9 miles away. And there is "middle pyramid peak" at 5600 feet, directly between us. So at the moment we are feeling anxious but safe. Given the mild winds, and the fact that there are several forest service roads around the fire to move crews. We are optimistic.

Fire update.
84Β°F, wind form the N, 7 Mph, RH 43%
Fire perimeter has grown only slightly, due to low winds. I did get some sleep this morning. Although we are officially still at level 2 "get set", we have relaxed quite a bit. And unless conditions change for the worse, we will be ok. The north wind is the best news pushing the fire front back to the original lightning strike point.
Oh snap! Stay safe. π

I'm really thankful you shared.
I know folks can't really do much when we say "stay safe", but the opportunity to let you know how much we all care that you *are* safe, and that those around you are, too, is a gift you give others in your own hard times.
May those anxieties have cause to ease soon.
Take good care of yourselves in the restless interim. π«
@corlin Thanks for the update. Fingers crossed and wishing you and yours well. π€
Hoping for the best for you in this hard time.
@corlin Good developments and I'm glad you're getting rest when you can.
