How the American Government Crushed the IWW
It’s a highly accessible labor history that does a bunch of important things. First, it gets at just why workers chose the IWW over other forms of socialism at the time. Second, it goes very deep on the real physical suffering these people had to deal with for their convictions and just how awful the entire structure of order was to workers.

One more comment:
Unlike the DSA, the IWW, Is a mutual aid society, focused on organizing and worker participation. Yes some members are in both orgs, but not many. Because .... Well it is historical, the IWW flows out of the 19th century anarchist, while the DSA roots are Trotskyism.
The difference is vast.
@corlin one big union!!
"solidarity forever"
@corlin I was just telling @kenc313 that the government here has screwed up and a HEAP of collective agrreements are coming due at once. The three big unions have formed a collective front. They represent 355K employees. IT'S GOING TO BE SUPER FUN TO WATCH THIS SHIT HEAD GOVERNMENT TUNED UP https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-union-common-front-1.6407112
Unions have long memories, Governments not so much, they act mostly on short term problems. Governments believe they have something like power, until the folks doing the work say....
"Nope I don't think it works that way." Here watch.
