Why does science news suck so much?
I read a lot of news about science and science policies. This probably doesn’t surprise you. But it may surprise you that most of the time I find science news extremely annoying. It seems to be written for an audience which doesn’t know the first thing about science. But I wonder, is it just me who finds this annoying?

General explanations for lay folks and in-depth discussions for those that want the data.
It can be done, but it takes more time, and a good writer and editor.
@corlin That makes sense.
@corlin I would rather an article assume I know little than assume I understand a lot. There's no worse feeling than being lost and bewildered.
