Odd query:
I need to buy new bed pillows.
There is a shit load of choices out there.
Memory foam, Buckwheat shells, and a thousand others.
Can anyone recommend a good bed pillow, that will last ?
I need pillows both to sleep on, and to prop myself up to read.

But I have tried many pillows.
Polyester ones tend to break up and get lumpy
Latex and memory foam heat up and get too hot. Sometimes get a permanent dent too.
I think the best ones (in order) that I've had are feather, cotton and wool. And many brands are in various shapes and thicknesses.

@corlin I'd say it depends if you sleep on your side or back.
And whether you like a firm or soft pillow.
I'm a side sleeper and like a good memory foam with micro fiber or faux fir.

That is what I am leaning toward,
I am a side sleeper, and I don’t like soft pillows, but nor rock hard either.
@corlin I might suggest the Memory foam.
You could try a combo of Buchwheat and top is with a soft poylester to get a good compromise.

@corlin i use a combo.
first, i use a wedge pillow. the firmest one i could find (based on reviews). they can be reversed to either let you sleep with your torso inclined, or to let you lean against the wall/headboard whilst reading. (they also have some adult time use, and while that's not the purpose of mine, ones designed for that are probably quite firm)
for sleeping, i got 2 of these with my mattress a few years ago, and LOVE THEM. still goin' strong.
