This band is just plain fun. Here is "High/Aflame" by Knifeworld.
@kel Diggin' your Oregon Trail request. This has been a hobby of mine lately (using ancient computer games).
Some of you computer pioneers might recognize this guy. We used to hunt him mercilessly:

I can't determine who this song reminds me of most... ELO? Beatles/George Harrison? Maybe Roy Orbison? I guess it doesn't matter, because I'm still diggin' the vibes of "For Your Soul" by Josh Ritter.
Code's eclectic music pick of the day:
"Grim Generation" by Portugal. The Man
Kind of a dark gray morning here. Perfect soundtrack for me to get started on the weekend:
Code's eclectic music pick of the day:
"Song of Innocence" by music giant David Axelrod.

Diggin' the tater love today. Started the potato diet 10 days ago (thanks Penn!) so am deeply interested. Pounds are coming off, and I'm still enjoying the taste. Favorite way so far is oven fries with malt vinegar, or simple microwave-baked with Trader Joe's Yuzu Hot Sauce.
Is #potato
Anybody out there in electronics? My experience is hobbyist level, and it's been many years since I did much. Fixing a Denon AVR that has a persistent buzz for the first 15 minutes it's on. I've fixed the cracked solder joints on an IC mount (the commonly known cause) but the buzz persists. So doing visual recon. Spotted this suspicious item (photo front and side views). I *think* it must be a capacitor given the 10 pf rating, but unsure about the poo. Is this cap leaking? Or is this a glueblob?
C'mon. It's July already.
Get up, get out, kick some butt.
If you love cinema, I'd recommend "Living" with Bill Nighy. Perfect for a rainy day and beautifully, lovingly shot. (I was in love with the movie even before the opening titles were finished)
Be aware that it's not a light, summer, carefree movie. But if you're willing, wow, this'll hit ya' in the feels.
Currently available on Netflix.

Just heard of Don Lancaster's passing. Those of you who've been involved with tech and computers for a long time will likely recognize his name. I read a lot of his stuff when I was a kid. 😢
I think it's time for a black band on HN.
