No need to do any psychoactive substances for this one. Here, in all its glory, is Frontier Psychiatrist by The Avalanches.

Alice in Chains means a lot to me. It may sound strange to some, but their music helped me get through an especially difficult time of my life. I love all of their albums, but the dreamy, contemplative Jar of Flies is my favorite. I can't pick a 'best' from the tracks, because they're all solid. So if you've never heard this album before, here is the track Don't Follow as your official intro:

From their Salsafied album, here is "Beto's 5th" by Beto and the Fairlanes

@danialexis @XaoslordErie Yep, I get that. But if you're asked 'Do you believe in the peaceful transfer of power?' and you're an American General, and you say 'I plead the fifth', I think we're entitled to draw our own conclusions. Especially if you actively were involved in an insurrection!

Get up off your chair and be happy. Today's pick should make it easy, plus it contains a shoutout to Christmas (and an F bomb, so even though you might want to crank it up, it's probably NSFW).

I inadvertently missed posting a pick yesterday, so I am posting two today. A fun, sweet song that somehow doesn't seem to age, and (trust me) one of the very few I will ever post that includes banjo, here is Hannah by Freelance Whales.

Trump encourages supporters to dismiss news about his taxes

Nearly four years ago, the Ways and Means Committee set out to fulfill our legislative and oversight responsibilities, and evaluate the Internal Revenue Service’s mandatory audit program,” said Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA) in a statement. “As affirmed by the Supreme Court, the law was on our side, and on Tuesday, I will update the members of the committee.

In 1990, this album was released in a genre that I might normally ignore (country rock/Americana). But the fact that the group was formed by Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) made me curious. I'm glad I was, because this album remains, to this day, one of my favorites. The gorgeous engineering on this album (think Alan Parsons/Steely Dan) makes it shine. Here is Your Own Sweet Way by the Notting Hillbillies.

Tears for Fears is one of my favorite groups, and their least-known album is probably one of the most perfect power/jangle-pop creations of all time, up there with Jellyfish, Jason Falkner, probably even the Beatles. Here is Call Me Mellow, from Everybody Loves a Happy Ending. If you dig it, check out the entire album, it's pure gold.

Similar methods exist for Mac/Linux, but you'll need to search for those instructions, as well.

This can also be done at your router level or Pi-Hole, if you are a power user. 😉

I'm getting tired of clicking on links (especially here) that take me to Twizzer. I do not wish to give the head twatwaffle any more of my eyeball and visit-value than necessary. Do you feel the same way? Here's what I did: for Windows, I edited my hosts file to add:

127.0.0.1 www.twitter.com
127.0.0.1 twitter.com
127.0.0.1 twttr.com
127.0.0.1 t.co
127.0.0.1 twimg.com

Then, when you accidentally click on a Twizz link, you won't go there. Search for instructions, and USE CAUTION, YMMV YADA^3

Here a better trading card. It's from a t-shirt I did 3 or 4 years ago:
