End of day tasks completed: Walked the dogs. Walked the parrot. Brought up the garbage cans. Covered the freeze sensitive plants for the night. Dogs and cats fed. Bird fed, returned to cage (now currently covered and listening to his nighttime playlist.) Tricked the dogs into letting me make my bed and turn on the electric blanket.

Now I can get a little writing done!

Found on Mastodon:

"The is not a charity. They are an evangelical protestant church that uses donations to oppose LGBTQ rights.

Give them NOTHING."

This is true.

Greetings from NorCal. It's too dark for a weather visual but I can report it is 46F and very damp out. I have hot tea.

My croissants came out spectacular. So delicious.

Trying to get in a little writing in between an overbooked baking day.

Newspapers fetched with very happy macaw. He is now eating his birdie bread and very happy indeed as I made it fresh this morning while I was doing the croissant dough folds and prepping the sourdough bread dough.

Greetings from NorCal. Gotta go get the bird up! But first, a couple more sips of coffee.

I'll be honest. I'm a little disappointed in the hot sauce I processed today. I fermented it for 14 months and it's super duper hot, but not as tasty as my usual. Will return to my previous recipes and spices.

Weather visual: foggy. Weather physical: OMG it's wet and cold!

Last year I got on my face ( get your shingles vaccine!!) and almost lost my right eye. 18 months later and I'm left with a lot of scarring and post-herpetic neuralgia of the nerve. has been a lifesaver, it got me off a dependency of Gabapentin and has helped make the nerve pain more managable.

Does anyone know of a topical lotion/cream that helps reduce the symptoms of post-herpetic neuralgia?
