Greetings from NorCal where it is 30F and too dark for a weather visual. About to get more tea and then down to the writing.

Heading to bed soon. Hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Greetings from rainy NorCal. Yes!! It's raining and quite steadily,. May it continue. Vacation is over. But there's rain!

Greetings from chilly NorCal where it is currently 29F. Glad we covered the frost-intolerant plants yesterday!

Stay safe everyone. I'm off to fritter away what's left of my vacation!

Anyhoo, I am feeling much better with one day left of vacation. About to go to bed though.

Literally, I haven't been sick since 2019. I'm remembering how you think you're better so you start doing stuff and it turns out you're not really OK yet.

Why would any business want employees working while impaired? I hope the RR union takes the RR to the fn cleaners.

I’m giving up drinking until Christmas.
Sorry, wrong punctuation.
I’m giving up. Drinking until Christmas.

Good morning. Today I feel much better. Going to get the bird up when it's a little lighter out. More than in the meantime.

Going back to bed because I have the flu. Am feeling better, but it's no fun. Glad I got my flue shot because I would hate to feel worse. (COVID test was negative)

It remains foggy here. Still can't see the trees clearly.

I finished hate watching 1899. I didn't think it was possible to hate it even more but the ending. OMG. Make a list of all the horrible things privileged writers do to female characters and this series hit them all and made them even worse.

I am so angry.

It's now light enough that I can report there is fog here at the house. Can see it wafting through the fields.

Greetings from NorCal. It's 42F and dark. My coffee is strong.

I am making croissants. Butter block and dough now in fridge until tomorrow morning.

When I lived in San Francisco on a very steep hill, I'd just found a parking spot across the street from my apartment. My 2 yo son was with me. As I was getting him out, an elderly lady trudging up this steep hill stopped and asked me for a ride to her doctor's appt. Of course, I gave her a ride, but I was crying inside at the loss of that parking spot.

Some years ago I was driving along a city street and this 40 something lady who looked like someone's Greek mother came running to my car when I stopped at an intersection and just got in. She asked for a ride to the bus stop and so I gave her one. She was grateful. But after that I was more careful about locking the car doors.

I'm likely preaching to the choir, but here is a post with a very nice collection of research, etc. linked and summarized.

TL,DR: Get vaccinedated as much as you can, wear masks, and protect yourself and your family.

I used to be one of those people who mocked fruitcake because all I knew was the kind that should really be a doorstop. Then I tried my neighbor's fruitcake and my mind was blown. Her fruitcake is beyond amazing. It's light and soaked for days in rum and now I live for the holidays and her fruitcake.

Good morning. It's dark. I have coffee today and it's 41F. May everyone safely find the deals they want. Me, I'm not leaving the house.
