@Jason_Bergeron Good for you! I was #188 at 10:45 in the morning on Day 1 - thrilled to see the long line!
@cassandra17lina We early-voted last weekend. I was heartened that there were a number of folks hanging around outside the polling place that were handing out literature about voting rights and telling people "Vote your heart". Very encouraging and welcoming.
@cassandra17lina Turning our ballots in today. Got our ballots in the mail.
@cassandra17lina Weird side question: is mail-in ballot the same as absentee ballot? Even if your state has no in person voting?
I'm not sure what to call what Oregon does. Everyone votes by mail. You can technically vote in person at the county elections office but if you do, they just hand you a mail in ballot and let you fill it out there.
In either case, I voted. Fortunately very early because I mangled my husband's ballot and he had to get a replacement.
@Myana Sounds like a very civilized approach to voting. Not sure about the nomenclature.
@cassandra17lina Me neither. I see all these polls about 'how are you voting' and I have no what to say.
Except painlessly and easily. 😀
@Myana @cassandra17lina I think in NC it's all considered absentee if it's not election day voting - whether you mail in or early vote. It's honestly kind of baffling how different states name the same thing.
@cassandra17lina it felt fantastic voting for Beto 😁
@cassandra17lina yep! I was the first person into my polling place on the first day at 7am oct 25th to vote in person.
