Morning #sniffari achievement unlocked: Mesozoic mystery. The remnants of Hurricane Ian washed up a lot of plastic debris, but today we spotted a brand new red Tyrannosaurus. I certainly would’ve noticed this as we walk along this area several times a week. My first thought was to return with a long handled rake to snatch it up, but it occurred to me that the parent of a child who dropped this off the wooden walkway might be planning the same thing. If it’s still there next week, though…
@cassandra17lina before coming to Italy. I bought my great grandson a globe, so he would understand about going across the ocean and asked him what he would like me to bring him from Italy. This very precocious three-year-old thought about it for a couple of seconds, and then said -with clarity – “I would love to have a gray dinosaur from Italy “. I found him a gray one and an orange one.!
@cassandra17lina careful, it looks like it’s tagged, which means scientists are trying to study its movement patterns.
@sfleetucker Oh, very good point! However, if it does “migrate” to my place, it will be in very good company!
@cassandra17lina might be a lonely as the only red dinosaur.
@cassandra17lina
-beside the point but btw, your initial posts about a “sniffari” gave me a fresh perspective on dog walking… and now every time my partner joins me in walking our dog and attempts to RUSH the process, I say “HEY! This is his #sniffari time—chill!!”😆
@TanSuitPlease It makes a huge difference in my male dog’s behavior if I let him take the time to sniff everything along our route, however tedious it might seem for me, so the #sniffari is time well spent.
@cassandra17lina I agree.☺️
After a quick review of the laws of marine salvage, I gathered a couple of bungee cords, trekked to the park and down the causeway to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, and reeled in this red plastic T-rex on this morning’s #sniffari. We are now officially the fiercest hunters in our entire drainage basin! #DogsOfCoSo
