Call me jaded, but Activision spends most of their budget on advertising. Not developing CoD. Which will sale even without advertising. Same with Battlefront. Activision reported $2+ billion PROFIT. EA over $3 billion in profit. I don't think they really need to raise prices. Besides, with season pass BS, the price is already above $60.

Even though I like my boss and never have any bad phone calls, getting that message of "Hey, we need to talk" still makes my heart drop.

I just legit saw my wife face-palm due to a guy singing a bad parody of David Bowie. It was awesome.

Learning programming things can be fun, but when you have to wait for OS Updates, it kind of blows. Progress bars are not the game I want to play right now.

Interesting when you side task at work becomes more of a task for a day.

Heard at D&D: "I don't know if Limited Liability protections extend to murder."

Yep. Got it at a convention YEARS ago. The pic is a bit old, but still love it. That particular hat has disintegrated though.

Three years ago, I was stuck in what felt like a dead end job. I signed up a Dev learning program (like a boot camp but free) and started working. Two years ago, I got my first job as a Web Dev. Today, I got promoted to Senior Web Dev. 🍾🥂🎂🎆🎉

Ahh. Home computer now has a mechanical keyboard to match my work computer and travel bag. Clickity Clickity for life.

So my wife is obsessed with Super Mario Odyssey. We were watching some videos while eating. I went to throw away some trash, and she had already turned it back to Mario.
Me: Back to Mario already?
Her: No.....
Me: So what's that? *points at screen*
Her: *pauses, then starts jumping back and forth, in bad italian accent* Itsa me, Mario Movie. Imma jumping! And savin' da princess!

I find myself in a bit of a moral quandary. I refused to buy EA Star Wars Battlefront 2 due to their loot box related issues. Refused to give EA money for their bullshit. However, someone got it for my son for Christmas. So now, I feel bad because I want to play it, mainly the single player.

@stueytheround enjoy it! I liked it a lot, as did my family.

I'm not sure. Maybe. Examining it is why I find it fascinating.

It feels reminiscent of the putting down of punk music in the 70s into 80s. The dismissing of rap as music in the 80s into the early 90s.

A group of people decided to create something different than what was given to them. Organically, people started embracing it. And the establishment ignored it at first before trying to discredit or destroy it.

Seeing all wider world (read Twitter and even Mastodon) take issue with this place is interesting. From a people watching aspect, I like thinking of the motivations of the people and it fascinates me.

Ok, after a long day of going with my old phone, I now have a shiny LG V30. I already miss having a stock Nexus phone.

It always surprises me, when I have to switch phones, how much I rely on my phone. It is my lifeline for work, for social interaction, for almost everything. I work remotely, and due to current living situations, use it for many private conversations with those close to me.

So my Nexus 6P, which I replaced a battery in and I loved for 2 years, has died. Using my old Nexus 5 running Lineage OS right now. and while I miss the bigger phone, I forgot how good this phone felt. Solid, not too thick. But the battery after 4 years is abysmal.
