@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine true. In my FIL's case though, he was terrified.of being alone, and dealing with untreated trauma, leading to essentially abuse tactics to try to make everyone as unhappy as he was at the end.
But yeah. It's a rough situation for all involved, but I hadn't thought about applying that "passivly suicidal" to that type of experience, but it fits so well.
