Like a mob boss, Trump seems to have had underlings do his dirty work. At least some of these underlings, like Michael Cohen, were attorneys, which allowed Trump to wrap his dealings with them in the attorney-client privilege.

I still haven’t seen any old sci-fi that predicts smartphones.

Occasionally, I like to reread some sci-fi that I read as a kid (some of which was old then). It’s interesting to me to see how the writers got it right and wrong on future tech. Isaac Asimov gets about as close to description of the internet as I’ve seen, but he’s still far off.
Asimov subsequently explains that the Multivac is accessed by a typewriter-type device, costs a hefty fee per month, and gives a textual response. (The audio response costs more.)

It’s super interesting that the folks claiming Trump was the stronger foreign policy president are the same ones that are pushing policies that would give Russia victory in #Ukraine. I don’t think the situation would be very different if Trump was still in office.

Ukraine can win its freedom with Western help. American troops aren’t needed, but the American tradition of being the arsenal of democracy certainly is.

There’s probably no coincidence that today’s “antiwar”crowd seems to focus solely on Ukrainian flaws and NATO assistance while minimizing Moscow’s role in choosing to launch a brutal and aggressive war of choice.
