Here are the guidelines they sent me without explanation. Note that posting one article one time is not “bulk or aggressive activity “ and was not intended to “manipulate or disrupt “ anyone’s user experience.
Self-promotion is not a synonym for spam, and no other platform has considered it as such.
Counter Social objects to my posting my articles here and has limited my account even though their TOS does not prohibit posting your own articles one time.
Nevertheless, I support allowing content owners to make their own rules, even if they do act (shall we say) “Musky.”
If you like my stuff, you can find me on other platforms with the same or similar handle. I’m also at theRacketNews.com.
A duck mysteriously appeared in the creek near our house. We first saw it yesterday and think someone put it out, although I don’t know why anyone would abandon a single duck. My wife tried to catch it but it eluded her and seems content to paddle around in the nice little pool. The problem is that we have coyotes. One tried to get our chickens just a couple of days ago. I’m afraid that its days may be numbered.
Occasionally, I like to reread some sci-fi that I read as a kid (some of which was old then). It’s interesting to me to see how the writers got it right and wrong on future tech. Isaac Asimov gets about as close to description of the internet as I’ve seen, but he’s still far off. Asimov subsequently explains that the Multivac is accessed by a typewriter-type device, costs a hefty fee per month, and gives a textual response. (The audio response costs more.)
