Occasionally, I like to reread some sci-fi that I read as a kid (some of which was old then). It’s interesting to me to see how the writers got it right and wrong on future tech. Isaac Asimov gets about as close to description of the internet as I’ve seen, but he’s still far off.
Asimov subsequently explains that the Multivac is accessed by a typewriter-type device, costs a hefty fee per month, and gives a textual response. (The audio response costs more.)
