SCOMI anti-discrimination ruling re: LGBTQ+, Catholic Church Lawsuits, Christianity Show more
Almost time for #Jeopardy - gotta sign into #Xfinity on my computer because our auxiliary speaker stopped producing sound and we can't find the user manual. It's a #Bose if anyone knows anything about them. It powers on/off, mutes on/off, volume up/down with the remote, but no sound emits from it. Until we figure it out or replace it (OUCH), we watch mostly on our PCs.
I read every word of the recent Gizmodo article about Coso and thought it was excellent.
The writer clearly "gets it", the questions they asked J were reasonable and clearly not trying to trip him up as others have tried and failed to do. J's replies were clearly and concisely reported with no judgement.
All in all, a glowing report card for all π
@yogapaddlerun What a beauty!

This is my announcement to #KevinRinke (dink) and #GarrettSoldano that I voted for the other side because I happen to think they are the worst possible thing that could happen to our lovely state.

@San_Ban @floryloughead Ohhhh, THAT talk. Okay, sorry. I listened to Michelle Obama's autobiography. Yeah, okay, sorry. As far as the sex ed talk, I've dated black guys and two Nigerian men. I will have to respectfully agree to disagree on that subject.
@InvaderGzim @TimRR Yeah, I guess I would, too, because my mother is a republican and is one of the dearest people you'll ever meet. She is having a terrible time finding anyone she wants to vote for today.
@JeffreyMHebert Already been done, but go by a different name. I don't remember if it was Hallmark or Current that sold them, but it was one of the big stationery companies.

National Coloring Book Day β August 2 Cont.
Researchers and art therapists have lauded the benefits of coloring for over a decade but only recently did publishers and childhood favorite brands like Crayola, start producing adult coloring books. Ever wanted to paint the town red? Or maybe purple, blue or even rainbow? Well, nowβs your chance, so break out those coloring books and indulge in some colorful fun!
@Qbae I woke from the dream feeling terrified and breathing hard, so I'd err on the side of spooky. :)

National Coloring Book Day β August 2
The day helps us relive our childhood playdates and discover new health and wellness benefits now that coloring is no longer just for kids. In fact, adult coloring books seem to be the latest wellness and relaxation trend that helps people find happiness between the lines.
@TimRR This, and the fact that Jesus sent His disciples out and told them to love their neighbors as they love themselves; and, when they asked, "Teacher, who is my neighbor?" He said, "Everyone you meet."
@TimRR And, this is why I firmly believe LGBTQ+ have just as much right to obtain church membership, become clergy, and perform sacraments, if they so choose.
@ChippySuave YES. THIS.
@PaganMother I will be, even though I will have to endure pain to do so because we were so mixed up in Dad's service and then my brother-in-law staying an extra week after it (he meant well), I didn't have a chance to get in and get my absentee ballot during the city clerk's business hours (7am - 3pm). So, I will have to physically go to the polling place and plead with them to let me use a chair, telling them why I couldn't get my absentee ballot in.
