@San_Ban Race doesn't matter. Kids talk, kids're exposed to it in TV & movies rated TV-G & PG. If you live in a big city where your library isn't censored like ours is, there should be lots of books for you to find the most comfortable way to have "the talk" w/kids. (I thought you were talking about the TV show, w/the capitalization, LOL.) It might even have kids' books you could use to help talk to them. At that age, most important is they can come to you about anything w/out worry of judgment.
@caaddison88
"Race doesn't matter." I guess you live in a different universe than me and my family!
@San_Ban I mean when it comes to "the talk." Kids start hearing about sex around the same age, no matter what their culture, whether it be from older siblings, other kids with older siblings, TV, movies, Interwebs, other kids whose parents leave magazines lying around the house--you name it. I was not saying race doesn't matter in all things. Please, accept my reply as it was meant and not as a racist affront.
@San_Ban @floryloughead Ohhhh, THAT talk. Okay, sorry. I listened to Michelle Obama's autobiography. Yeah, okay, sorry. As far as the sex ed talk, I've dated black guys and two Nigerian men. I will have to respectfully agree to disagree on that subject.
