Recovering from just having to disassemble my laptop to figure out why it suddenly started making a crackling sound. Why did HP make it so the whole back had to be removed to get to the fan?
And of course I now have to do it again because I found 4 screws I didn't remember removing, and 1 tiny one I dropped.

Or they really didn't want to do Thanksgiving at their inlaws. Either way, schools are virtual till some time in December.
Since Zeta ran through here I've had to deal with two power outages. And I've found that all my backup batteries need replacing. I've also found out that my home router tries to serve DHCP in the first few minutes after a reboot until it remembers not to.
And for some reason it gave my file servers IP to a Chromecast. At least I didn't lose the Pi running the file server.

Looking at my news feed this morning and it strikes me that after 2016, the protests against Trump were attempts to keep him aware that there was a majority of citizens who wanted him to remember them, and hopeful the admin would lead all of the republic.
The protests against Biden are a minority that demand that we ignore an even larger majority voice has stolen their election. And all they can do is throw tantrums in public.
I'm really not all that interesting, unless you consider the coffee-fueled mania that is the day-to-day struggle of my love affair with data interesting.
