When the bands of ran went through a little earlier today, with the curtains drawn, the thought that entered my head was something like:
"How lovely it sounds in my secret lair UNDER the waterfall."
Except I'm in Virginia Beach. And on one of the highest points of land with houses on it (which my watch kindly suggests in 9 m under sea level).

@AskTheDevil I hear ya. I think it's more I have a decreased musical need and am just looking for some background noise working from home.
Knowing how tech manipulates (and I don't want to talk about ny role in that) I can usually ignore, but that stream was deeply lonely.

Realized I had left a cookie on the top.of the espresso machine. It had been there about 8 hours. I ate it. It was a somewhat pleasant surprise.

Small crowd this year. The last of the cars just cleared the street.

I'm a mile from one of the city fireworks displays, but because of the trees and I can't see anything. The fun always starts after the show, when we get to bet on how long traffic will be stuck behind the house. The record is about 12:47.

Yesterday's Coffee Cup.

While getting things going this morning, I ran into the coffee cup I left out yesterday. The phase Yesterday's Coffee Cup hit my head and I couldn't help but think that would have been a perfect name for a band, album or title of a song in the 90s.
Actually a little disappointed I didn't find anything.
Happy Friday. May today's coffee be better than yesterday's, or at least better than what was left in the bottom of the cup from yesterday.
