@prairiecelt He didn’t. He found Σίμον, whom He later named, «Πέτρος», ´Ιωάννες, Ιάκοβος, Μαθθαĩos, ´Ανδρέας, Φίλιππος, Θομάς, and… Σίμον (the Zealot, presumably?). But that’s just Alexandrian Greek, which was kind of like the English of its day. I don’t know how it was spelled in Aramaic, which was more closely related to Hebrew. Also, I couldn’t figure out how to get the tilde correct on Thomas. Apologies.
