Here is my silly prediction for November:
Biden will win, it will be dramatically close to maximize ratings.
Democrats will win the house and senate, but just barely. They will win just enough of a majority to make sure that nothing can change. If they win a seat or two too many to break the stalemate, we will have a couple of defectors (See Sinema, Manchin) that will again muck things up.
The idea is to keep things the way they are while appearing to change.
Appearances matter.

@sirgeefive What is the point of that?
@bmacmixer Could you expand a bit on your question? I don't just want to answer 'What is the point of what?'
@sirgeefive What would be the point of things staying the same? What staying the same exactly and who benefits. I just didn’t want to assume it’s a purely cynical statement. Although I can relate to the feeling.
@sirgeefive I get it. I have plenty of those thoughts myself as do many others of us. But I still have some faith in the millions of government workers that are not politicians. And I need facts these days to help balance out the drama and bullshit we are fed every minute of the day and night.
@sirgeefive Oh I know. No worries. It was a thoughtful post or I would have just kept scrolling. And it’s a sign of the times we are in.
@bmacmixer I desperately hope that my silly prediction is completely off-base, and that we finally get a government that starts to work "for the people". I get that the cynical viewpoint isn't always that constructive, and is more me venting into the void than anything. I will still vote, I always do.
