Ok, big SNAFU: I can't reuse my old PSU. It's just too old, so too big to slot into a newer case configs. Currently trying to run down an EVGA 650w modular listed on FB market for $70. Final morning using this ancient PC before building a "new" one (new case, used Mobo and CPU which is 5 gens newer than current CPU, reusing GPU/PSU for now, also storage) and it's almost like it knows I'm about to replace it. Keeps randomly muting my audio like it's throwing a tantrum lol. Gotta go to the store in a bit then time to build! #PC #DIY #Tech

I'm building a "new" #PC. Friend in NC sent me an i5-6400. Bought a Meshify 2, used MSI Krait Mobo off eBay, DeepCool heat sink, 32GB G Skill RAM kit. Mobo arrived today, complete in box, all the bits. Looks new cept for a tiny bit of dust. Heat sink yesterday, + thermal paste. RAM tomorrow. CPU should be here Sat. So I should be building Sun? Gonna reuse storage, PSU and GPU. Upgrade the GPU in the future. Current PC core is 2010 Dell. So this build will be really "new" to me, lol. #DIY #Tech

@vegtabill I'm starting to think I might be doing the same soon. Game has developed a nasty bug on my Series X where every 15-20 mins, walking through a door freezes the game on the load screen. Tried all the usual things all the way up to a console reset and no dice "fixing" it. It's not unplayable.. quite.. but I might be mainlining the story just so I can say I saw "the end", instead of playing it like I have been.

@vegtabill Indeed. The game has absolutely failed to live up to the hype. A bunch of walled gardens separated by loading screens ain't the exploration I was promised. I did expect something like what it is, just not this much. At least they worked with Id to get the gunplay feeling right. I didn't expect No Man's SkyXBethesda, but yeah, disappointing how much time is spent in the menu/loading screen. I'm still enjoying it, but this shouldn't have a chance at serious GOTY contention.

Starfield, 4ish hours in impressions: It's def a Bethesda game. Enemy AI is sporadic. Companions still work hard to get in your way. It's still fun to succeed with a persuasion and then attack the people that have been harassing you. Shooting feels surprisingly good. Not positive I like the control layout yet. I see why people call it Planetfield, you do seem to be able to bypass space a lot. Music is good. Dialogue well written. #Starfield #Gaming #CoSoGaming #VideoGames #SeriesX

Our internet was down for the last 21 hours. After this morning's deep clean of the RV, I launched Audacious, selected the "ambient" genre, and let the music flow while I read a book. Recently played through High On Life. Yeah, I'm aware of all the shit going on there. It's on #GamePass so I didn't buy it outright. It was aight. Decent shooter with good mechanics and talking guns. Mercifully you could shut them up some in the settings. Funniest bit in the game is there's a theater you can materialize that's playing a seriously bad movie 3 aliens in the front row riff on. This game is Voxel Bladerunner: Delivery Walking Sim. You fly around Nivalis making deliveries and meeting interesting characters. The music, setting, stories, ambiance are great. @Skyye Fasho. I mean the Deck is a pretty good upgrade from my PC, which I intend to prove by installing at least LotRO since it's in Steam but I really do wanna check WoW on it since I can check FPS and such in game there. LotRO FPS counter doesn't seem to work, or hasn't on the install on my PC anyway. Assuming I can get decent frames at the same settings I use now for either game (I would be shocked if I didn't), yeah current gen card will do just fine 😁

@Skyye I've been quite impressed with what the Deck can do, and frankly, that level of performance is plenty good enough for me. I'm going to be doing some testing with the Deck soon, install and run WoW and LotRO on it, see how it performs. I've seen that people have done it but I wanna get some hands on myself. This PC runs on an i7 2.5ghz from 2010, which is 1st gen IIRC, and a 1050 TI. 3 gens ago gear would be a massive upgrade lol, and I'm not picky. This gen AMD will be fine.
